Step 1: Surveying and Analysis
Harkness Curolux Devices uniquely measure the current color, contrast, and brightness quality across 144 Points on the screen.
The data is then analyzed using Harkness Screen Modeling Apps developed that asses all the components that affect the image on a screen:
- Screen Light Levels
- Screen Type
- Screen Design Shape
- Screen Positioning & Size
- Light Levels
- Light Uniformity
- Color & Contrast Performance
- Frame Design
- SMPTE Standards
- View From Every Seat
- Lamp Power & Settings
Projector, booth positioning, seat configuration, and rake are all taken into account in our analysis of the presentation, but do not require any change or investment.
Step 2: Optimization
Our technical experts will use the analysis to identify the optimum screen type, shape, size, and positioning, including enhanced 2D, 3D, AND 2D/3D hybrid coatings and digital perforation for superior audio.
We’ll use our unique software to show you the exact visual improvements possible from every seat.
Harkness’ Integrator Partners are fully trained and certified in the Iris Program. This enables them to bring you a complete package of the exclusive Harkness developed technologies that can transform your theatre.
Your chosen Integrator works closely with the Harkness team to tailor-make your unique screen to our industry-leading design and quality standards. They then arrange for installation of your optimized screen, including frame design if needed, and optional monitoring equipment, ensuring that you have a complete end-to-end solution.
Step 3: Screen Modernization
The screen has a big impact on the audience.
If necessary, we will recommend and install a new screen so that an auditorium can achieve maximum field of view, the best contrast, and perfect white balance.
